My husband recently had a heart scare and I knew that it was time for us to take action. After learning about the New Lifestyle Diet, we discussed it at length and decided that it was time to get serious. Like most people, we had tried other programs and found that while we had initial success, we would often “play games” and did not achieve long term results. So, in starting the New Lifestyle Diet, we took our experiences from the past and we decided to learn from them. And, in doing so, Ron and I have each lost 70 pounds.
Moving forward, we’re now creating new goals in our lives and I’m personally very excited about being in a friend’s upcoming wedding. I didn't want to be a fat bridesmaid and now I don’t have to be! Looking ahead to next year, we’re going to continue to maintain our weight loss together and I have decided to reward myself with a tummy tuck.
Yes, there are going to be events in our lives where we’ll falter, but we now have the skills to stay on track. For us, this is the key to managing our weight for the rest of our lives. Personally, I’m still working on the final 12-15 pounds, but it’s not an issue....and I'm determined to reach my goal. And, I’ll do it by continuing to walk every day with my co-worker before work and my husband and new yellow lab puppy at night. It’s not only fun, but it’s been a great bonding experience too!
